Day 17 – Madi’s Prayer

By N

Day 17 – 12:04 a.m. – Yeah, it’s a bit late but Becky’s mom and grandma just got in for Andy’s graduation.

This will be a short post but I wanted to share a funny story about the kids tonight.

We were getting everyone ready for bed and discovered a couple spots of POOP on Caleb’s floor.  Apparently he’d had an "accident" and had used a few pieces of paper directly ripped out of a book to wipe.  The paper was then stuck to the floor.  Not a pretty decoration…

Anyway, we cleaned it up, put Caleb right to bed, and then went and read a story with Madi.  Here’s how the final dialogue went:

"Who’s turn is is to pray…?"

"Me!" says Madi.

"Heavenly Father…Caleb in big trouble…poop on floor; then, Daddy wipe it.  Mommy Daddy furious.  Caleb big trouble.  Thanks for Caleb and Madi.  Then, Caleb big trouble…Mommy Daddy furious…AMEN!"

It was all Beck and I could do to not start laughing.  She was so serious and detailed.

It’s so nice to be back home with the family.  We went on a mini-bike ride tonight and Caleb can really cruise around on his bike.  It’s amazing how fast they are both growing up.

Becky started the spring semester of aerobics at BYU and really loves that.  I’m happy for her and am glad she’s doing what she loves.

Work took another spin today – we decreased all session pay by $1 to $2 dollars.  It was taken pretty well by most coaches.  Hopefully things will only start getting better now, although I doubt we’re there yet.

Well, time to hit the sack.
