Day 14 – Daily Scripture – Go to Bed Earlier

By N

The Lord states that we should “cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated.” (D&C 88:124.)

This is from a talk by President Benson titled “In His Steps“.

Unfortunately, I wish I would have followed this advice 2 and 1/2 hours ago when I was really tired.

I said something to Becky tonight that I had no intention of coming off mean or critical, but she took it that way.

Tomorrow will be a better day I hope.

I had a good conversation with Jason today about progress, humility and consistency. My challenge, through working on studying and writing, is to stay humble and prayerful and submit my will to God in ALL areas of my life.

Caleb won his last soccer game tonight. He scored the only goal on a great shot from outside the box. The poor little goalie wasn’t really paying attention and the ball went wizzing right by him.

Dad came down to see his game, which was fun. I wish Mom could have been here too, but she is working with Grandma Coffman still, who is now 92.

Hasta manana!

Nate
