Day 5 1/2 – Almost Forgot

By N

Day 5 – 1:15 a.m. – Dang, it’s officially "tomorrow" but Becky, Josh and I just finished painting our main bedroom and then watching a bit of The Office.

Today’s been an interesting day – it seems every day is a new adventure at work.  More cuts, downsizing, changes, when will it end?  And the toughest thing is that I don’t really have any idea how it’s going to effect me directly and indirectly.  The nice thing is that I had a meeting today with a client who will probably pay me $300 a month for at least 3 months to set up his site for SEO and possibly social media.  I also have a meeting next Wednesday with a bigger company to do independent work for them – map out a plan of attack for social media.

So, one thing leads to another I guess.  I’ve been too blessed financially it seems – so many opportunities to grow my own businesses while at the same time having that foundation to work with and support my family.

I’m so blessed to have Becky too – she’s such a strength, we’re on the exact same page financially (both pretty "frugal" aka "TIGHT" for most things).  It’s fun to grow closer and closer together.  It’s hard to believe that our third little one is on the way in just a few months (early July is the due date).  Caleb and Madi are growing up so fast.

Madi is talking more and more all the time.  Caleb is loving his soccer ball and goal – when I come home we’ve been kicking the ball in the house for about 30 minutes non-stop.  He get’s so excited.  It reminds me of playing catch with Dad back in the day – I never wanted to stop.  Dad was a great example of making time to do that stuff that brings us closer together.  I hope I can always keep those priorities in order too.

Well, I will work harder tomorrow (today) to do this earlier.  I love my family.  I’m grateful for all we got done today.  I know things will work together for our good financially as long as I put "first things first" and focus on the Savior and His teachings.

Until later today!

Nate
