Day 3 – Daily Scripture

By N

“And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them.” (Mosiah 4:10)

I really like this scripture today. Basically it’s that simple – “…if I believe all these things see that I do them.”

Becky and I went to Stake Conference this evening and it was really good. The stake president talked about marriage and things we can do to keep our marriage strong:

  1. Be good
  2. Be nice
  3. Be willing to sacrifice

After the meeting Becky and I went to eat and talked about how things are going. I talked to her about some of the resentments I’ve been feeling and about how consistency in working the program hasn’t been there as much as I’d like it to be.

We talked for a while about the program and about what’s been bothering me. It felt good to have her ask me how things are  going again.

I look forward to tomorrow for another session of Stake Conference and then chance to be my best self.

I’m grateful that we were able to go as a family today to pick raspberries and black berries – it was fun to “hunt” with Caleb for the “winners” in the black berry patch.

I’m grateful that I was able to talk with Becky about how I feel.

I’m grateful she listened and seemed to understand where I was coming from.

I’m grateful we were able to go on a date.

I’m grateful I’m in bed earlier this evening.

I’m grateful for the scriptures that say it like it is.

I’m grateful to be working the steps again and feel like I’m making appropriate progress.

Hasta manana!

Nate
