I just finished my step work for the morning and wanted to do a bit of writing about how I’m feeling today so I could get it out, think about it, and have a productive day.
I’m scared about the U contract. I know I can do it, but I also realize I’m going to need help to really do the best job. I think FS will be there to help. I think I can also find help on OD.
Here’s what I have to do:
- Create an estimated calendar for how things are going to happen
- Create an in-depth website audit (I’ve already done this pretty well, could add to it)
- Review current Google Analytics data (need to get this information for sure)
- Review of current website sales metrics (need to get these metrics from the U)
- Discussion of employee specific roles for website and fulfillment
- Competitive Analysis (who, what, how, where, etc.)
- Keyword research and current on-site optimization
- Landing page review (there is none currently)
- Email list review (how many emails do they currently have, what do they do with those emails, how do they send bulk emails, what is their intention with the email list, do they see a direct ROI with their email list, what rules do they have to follow when using the email list)
- Social Media Marketing strategy and review
- Content creation strategy
- Blog integration and activity
- Off-site SEO strategy
- Local SEO Assessment (FS – Jace)
- Local SEO Campaign
- How many locations do you want to claim?
- Do you currently have Google Pages for each location?
- PPC Campaign
- Do you have an Adwords account set up?
- What phrases have you/would you want to target to start?
- Do you have banners?
- Do you have landing pages in place?
- Do you have conversion tracking in place?
- Overall Objectives
As I write this out, I don’t feel there is anything I can’t do. It’s just about getting started and chipping away at things. It’s also about effective communication and consistency.
I’m happy I took some time to write this out.
