Today was a great day. We made over $200 at our garage sale, sold our grill, sold the sand castle, sold our old stroller, and quite a few other things that had been setting in our basement for quite some time.
After the garage sale we went to Seven Peaks for a great time at the water park with the kids.
Tonight we came home, rested and watched baseketball. Cleveland got beat in 6 games by Orlando.
One of the things I want to talk about tonight is chastity and "coveting". Going to Seven Peaks was really fun for the family, but it was really hard to see all the immodest dressed girls. I’ve talked alot about the "chin up" approach that I’ve learned about in the program. However, being in that scene was really difficult. My question is, "Is it best to not even go there or do I need to just learn how to control my passions?"
Here’s a scripture:
To me, this scripture says it’s better to not even go there…"For it is better that ye should deny yourselves of these things…" I’m not sure how I can do that to my family.
Anyway, overall the day was great. I love Becky and my children so much. They are what’s most important to me. I need to keep that close to my heart and mind as I move forward.
Well, I’m happy to be writing again. See you tomorrow!
Nate
