I, the Lord, forgive sins unto those who confess their sins before me and ask forgiveness” (D&C 64:7)
How does confessing your sins to God help you make positive changes in your life?
As I recognize my weaknesses and imperfections, it feels like I’m showing God that I need His help, that I can’t overcome my imperfections alone. I’m also acknowledging that I’m willing to submit my will to Him and let Him direct my path. Confessing sins to God helps get them out in the open so they are not secrets, left to loom and fester.
After true confession to God, the next objective is to forsake.
God knows everything I think and do; I must be honest with myself and honest with Him if I really want to return and live with Him again.
Things I’m Thankful For
Today was a good day. We have 2 inches of SNOW on the ground and it’s April 1st – crazy (and no, that’s not an April Fools joke).
The things I feel best about today have to do with how I handled a potentially disastrous experience with Dane. I had submitted a proposal to split commissions with Prosper on affiliates we sell to our students from time to time. I proposed a 60/40 split since there are no costs at all. I felt this was fair, and, worst case, Dane would come back with a 70/30 split. Instead, he gave me a 90/10 reply.
I was really close to going in to his office and going crazy.
However, I waited it out, talked it over with a few people, calmed down, and then, when the time was better, discussed options with him.
I proposed a graduated scale of 10%, 15% and 20% or something like that. We’ll see how it turns out.
The best thing was that I didn’t blow up or resent for too long.
Other things I’m thankful for:
- Going to the meeting tonight
- Playing with the kids when I got home
- A great dinner from Becky (Orange Chicken and Salad)
- Talking with Jason about the day
- Talking with Dave about becoming his sponsor
- Doing an SEO Audit for SLC
- Talking with Brian Bollard about his progress
- Following up with Jeff about the project
- Talking to Andy shortly on chat
- Going to bed before mid-night
Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I’m happy to be working the program and making progress with God’s help.
Until tomorrow!
Nate
