August 2010 Goals

Well, as noted in my last post, July was not my best month for a variety of reasons

• Didn’t set goals
• Went on a long “vacation” where I didn’t keep a good routine
• Focused on MY will instead of the will of Heavenly Father
• Didn’t work the steps of the program
• Didn’t keep in touch with my sponsor
• Didn’t pray fervently for help
• Didn’t work on the “chin-up” concept that has helped me so much

So, August is a new month. I met with Jason yesterday, which felt really good. I committed to set specific goals for August, both for spiritual purposes, personal purposes and business purposes.

Spiritual Goals

• Write in my journal 22 times in August – answer a question from the recovery manual – wrote 18 times but feel I need to do better about answering the questions.
• Finish Step 8 – haven’t even finished Step 7 yet (fear)
• Attend the temple at least 1 time – went with our ward for temple night
• Have looked over my lesson for church by no later than Thursday – didn’t do a very good job at this
• Meet with Jason 5 times in August – I think we met 4 times, one week he was out of town
• Write a letter to the Ramirez Catalan Family – didn’t get this done

Financial Goals

MM

• Invoice AD for June, July and August work ($876.57) – Done
• Invoice VIQ for July Work ($3,000) – Done
• Follow up on June VIQ work invoice ($1,500) – Done
• Get Authorize.net account set up for AD – Made progress but need to finalize
• Get SSL Certificate for AD – Not done
• Follow up with ASkin on website options – Not done
• Finalize VIQ project report and timelines – Done – contract ended early

HS

• Send Thank Yous to ALL directors with Olive Garden Gift Certificate – done, except H&S
• Finalize BGA proposal with Brett – sent to BGA, pending
• Finalize UVFL work for 2010 – Done
• Meet with DA for new contract, discuss Email Marketing options too – Done, sending contract to Jen, talked with DA today about website stuff (9.7.10)
• Meet with Brett & Devin about Poster Options – not done
• Invoice PDCamps – Done, not paid yet though
• Invoice Elite for $270 – Done, talked with her today, check is in the mail

CO

• Make $3k Gross profit in August – Done, $3,950+
• Contact top 15 big accounts via email for more sales (8.4.10 – sent email to 10 contacts of biggest sales) – Done
• Follow up with all “Pending Payment” orders (8.4.10 – contacted 2, converted 1 of them, followed up with client who may buy more quantity) – Done, paid off nicely in most cases
• Finalized 1st sales person for Rexburg area (Holly from Facebook) – sort of done, need to follow up and finalize

ET

• Do presentation tomorrow on setting up a website in 1 hour or less – Done
• Finalize eBook & Email Campaign – Done
• Provide eBook to all in attendance – Done
• Provide eBook to all who were “maybe attending” – Done
• Send eBook to Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Group – not done

UCR

• Finalize home page layout – not done

AM

• Get subscription section of site set up – not done
• Work on home page layout section – done
• Contact suppliers I met at Outdoor Retail Expo – not done

Physical Goals

• Run 1 3.1 mile jog in August – not done

Personal Goals

• Find other job options – in progress, talked with Matt S and Russ P
• Work every day to be positive about my situation – met with Ethan and talked things out with Dane more
• Print these goals out and review them DAILY – didn’t do good enough at this
