As part of my September Goals for 2010, I’ve decided to read at least one scripture from the Book of Mormon at least 20 days in September. So here we go:
Before I get going, I’m thinking about doing this via topic.
Since I’m on Step 7 dealing with Humility, I’m going to look up that topic to start…
And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have atasted of his love, and have received a bremission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own cnothingness, and his dgoodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of ehumility, fcalling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing gsteadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
I think it’s interesting how it talks about humility and then, immediately after that key word, it mentions to “call on the name of the Lord daily…” To me, that is saying indirectly that one of the best ways to show humility is to call on the name of the Lord daily.
I feel good about this goal and plan to make this an important part of the FIRST of my day.

UPDATE: (this is a review of one of the questions in Step 7)
“. . . If ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true”
I like what this says, particularly “IF” I do this, I shall “ALWAYS” rejoice. That’s a powerful promise. I shall “ALWAYS” retain a remission of my sins” and I “shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created me”.
Today was a good day for the most part. I wasn’t perfect but felt better about my use of time.
I’m not sure how tomorrow is going to work out with Jason because our van has been giving us problems and Becky wants to take it in in the morning. I also have a meeting at 8:30 a.m. – I guess we’ll see.
I feel really good about the goals I set for September and know that mapping these things out and then consistently reviewing them is one of the keys to my overall success.
Hasta manana!
Nate
