I figured I’d get an early start on my lesson for two weeks from now.
The purpose of the lesson is “To help each child have the desire to have daily personal prayer.”
How to Pray Always
19 Yea, humble yourselves, and continue in aprayer unto him.
20Cry unto him when ye are in your afields, yea, over all your flocks.
21aCry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening.
22Yea, cry unto him against the power of your aenemies.
23Yea, acry unto him against the bdevil, who is an enemy to all crighteousness.
24Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them.
25Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase.
26But this is not all; ye must apour out your souls in your bclosets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness.
27Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your ahearts be bfull, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your cwelfare, and also for the welfare of dthose who are around you.
Why Should We Pray Always?
37 aCounsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for bgood; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the cmorning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
I’m excited to prepare this lesson and feel there are quite a few great examples of prayer, both in the scriptures and from personal experience.
Hasta luego!
