One of the questions Becky had asked me to think about before was “How is this time going to be different than all the other times?”
Ironically, I opened up LDS.org and found this image:
Naturally, I clicked on it and watched this video, actually getting teary a few times.
I felt immediately that this is something I can do, this is something that will be different, this is something that I will be excited about, this is serving others and using my internet skills to consecrate my time and talents.
I don’t know that I’ve ever indexed before so I then watched this video:
I then went here: https://familysearch.org/indexing/
I logged in with my LDS account, downloaded the program, and got started by watching this video: http://broadcast.lds.org/elearning/FHD/Local_Support/FamilySearchIndexing/en/demos/FS_index.html?v=http://broadcast.lds.org/elearning/FHD/Local_Support/FamilySearchIndexing/en/demos/IndexQuickStart!
I’ve now officially done my first 68 records!
I showed the video to Becky and we both got a bit teary, I’m not even sure why. I just feel like this is an answer to prayers on how I can do things different this time in my recovery – at least one additional way to fortify myself.
I’m so grateful for Becky.
I’m so grateful for my family.
I’m so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I love how I feel in recovery!
Hasta manana!
Nate
