If I were to write a book about sexual addiction recovery, or a list of essays regarding how to break the chains of addiction, or a “How To” guide for new sponsees, what would I include?
As I’ve been reading the eBook “Marbles and Battleships” – this is what I’m going to call it right now because the other title is too long – the question above has come to mind a few times.
I’ve written a lot of thoughts, feelings, experiences, and things I’m learning that I’m hoping would help other people.
I know there’s more I can share though and there’s more I can read and study and understand about where I am today and what I can continue to do to live in recovery one day at a time.
I’ll start my study today by making a list of some of the things I’ve learned and see if there are things I’ve already written about that topic that I can start compiling. First a prayer though.
The list of things I’ve learned in recovery
- The ABC’s of Addiction Recovery
- Buying My Weapons of War
- Is “One Day at a Time” Just a Recovery Cliche?
- Why Sponsorship?
- ARPSupport.org – the kick-start to true recovery
- It Works When I Work It!
- Multiple Meetings a Week
- The Pro’s of LDS ARP Meetings
- The Con’s of LDS ARP Meetings
- What is SAL? And Why Do I Need It?
- The Top Addiction Recovery Books to Read
- Addiction Recovery and the AEIOU’s
- Journal Writing: The Key to Connection with Self, God, Spouse, and Others
- Why Sponsees?
Now that I’ve made this list, I’m going to start a project where I compile the information, go through emails, and start making it all come together.
I will share this with Becky and with my sponsees to see if there is anything I’m missing.
Hasta luego!
Nate
