My Gratitude Journal – Day 18

By N

Today went pretty well. Every Thursday I get to get up really early and go to a business networking meeting called BNI. It’s been really great for my business and has brought in quite a few new business deals.
The tough thing about it is, if I don’t go to bed early enough the night before, I’m slammed the next day. I was really tired today when I got home and decided to take a nap before taking Chloe to school and getting Jayden down for his nap.
To me, a nap is one way I’m submitting my will to God. It’s showing Him that I’m aware of how I’m feeling and what my body needs at that moment.
After I woke up, I felt a lot better about the day and was ready to tackle some projects.
This evening Becky and I got to go to the FS Christmas party. Those guys are such great friends and partners; I don’t know where MM would be without that connection. I definitely feel that meeting I had with Russ in December of 2010 about doing webinars was a tender mercy that I couldn’t be more grateful for.
At the party we had great food from La Jolla Groves and then went to the Chocolate for desert. While at desert, they gave us all gifts and I got a new high end mountain bike!!! I couldn’t believe it. Last year they’d completely forgot about me so this year they made up for it (Chris even recognized that to me after the meeting, which made me feel really appreciated and recognized).
I’m grateful for their friendship and partnership; I told Becky that it will be interesting to see how this year goes.
Becky’s mom went home today too, which was nice. We love our parents but it’s nice to get back into our regular routine again. She was so nice to take is out and be here to support the kids.
I’m grateful for the step I worked today. I’m grateful for Gods hand in everything good that I do.
I’m grateful to be headed to bed now.
I’m grateful ands took care of the kids tonight.
Hasta mañana!
Nate
