My Gratitude Journal – Day 30

By N

I’m writing this on Day 31 but am going to publish it on Day 30. I’ve started Step 4 and have been working on a detailed spreadsheet – this is why I haven’t been posting answers to questions here (and it looks like I won’t be for awhile).

Step 4 is a big step – one which I’ve done a couple times already. I know there’s not “right” way to do step 4, but this time I’m a bit more confused just because I’m not sure how to handle all the stuff I’ve written before.

I’m just going to move forward and do the best I can.

Today was a good day. My parents are in town and that’s always a bit of a challenge. They mean well but sometimes they don’t know when to stay out of our business.

Christmas is a fun but crazy time of year. I’m grateful to be around family but sometimes wished it was just Becky and I and the kids.

I’m grateful today that my parents have good health.

I’m grateful to be in recovery today.

I’m grateful to be taking one day at a time.

I’m grateful that we have such a nice home.

I’m grateful for my career and the direction my business is going.

I’m grateful to be starting a new year soon.

I’m grateful to have Stan as a mentor.

I’m grateful to be married to my best friend.

I’m grateful for the friends we have here in Spanish Fork.

I’m grateful to be able to play basketball in the mornings with friends.

I’m grateful to have good health.

I’m grateful to be living in recovery and working on the chin up every day.

I’m grateful to have a real Christmas tree in our home this year.

I’m grateful that the baby seems to be progressing well.

I’m grateful that we’re scheduled to be induced on the 16th of January.

I look forward to a new day in recovery.

Hasta manana!

Nate
